A number of trains were cancelled or delayed at Glasgow Central this morning following a signalling fault.

Commuters were left with a number of cancelled services following the fault at the station that was announced by Scotrail in the early hours.

Delays are expected to last until around 10am with a number of services still running behind schedule due to a backlog.

Trains between Glasgow and Kilmarnock, as well as services to East Kilbride, Barrhead and Edinburgh have all been hit.

Delays or cancellations could also affect those travelling to and from Neilston, Newton Lanark, Queens Park, Newcastle, Stranraer and Lanark.
