Detectives from British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for witnesses after a man was reported to have performed a sex act onboard a train between Kilwinning and Saltcoats railway stations.
The incident took place on Friday, November 3, onboard the 5.34pm Glasgow Central to Ardrossan Harbour service.
The suspect is described as white, with a stocky build, shaved hair and wearing a black jacket, black trousers, dark trainers and a white baseball cap.
Detective Constable Martin Graham, said: “This incident occurred onboard a busy train service. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please get in touch with us.”
