A PENSIONER has been jailed after admitting raping a woman on her 18th birthday almost 40 years ago.
Peter Watson, 69, of Hawkhill Road, Alloa, also pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two other girls more than 20 years ago.
Prosecutor Lynsey MacDonald said the first victim did not tell anyone what had happened until she met another victim by chance. The second woman told her she had been abused by Watson.
At the High Court in Glasgow, Watson, a first offender, admitted raping a woman in 1978 and sexually abusing the two others between1982 and and 1992.
Judge Lady Rae placed Watson on the sex offenders’ register and deferred sentence for background reports until September 28.
She remanded Watson in custody and told him: “These are obviously very serious charges.”
