An attempted murder investigation has been launched after a man was shot while sitting in his car in Scotstoun.
The 27-year-old was parked up within his car in Kingsway Court on Sunday May 20 when another vehicle pulled up beside him around 6.20pm.
The occupants of othera car fired shots at the victim but narrowly missed.
The uninjured victim drove off along Kingsway Court and crashed his car a short distance away before the suspects made off from the scene.
Detective Inspector John Morrison said: “These abhorrent individuals discharged a firearm in a busy residential area, showing complete and utter disregard for the safety of members of the public.
“We believe the attack was specifically targeted at the victim and additional patrols will be in the area to provide reassurance to the local community.
“This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"The surrounding area would have been busy at the time and it is absolutely vital that anyone who saw or heard anything comes forward to assist with our enquiries.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Drumchapel CID via 101, quoting incident number 3687 of Sunday 20 May 2018. Alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
As reported by the Evening Times, the area remains cordoned off as police carry out investigations.
