Rail commuters face major disruptions after services were suspended following a fire near a train station in West Lothian.

The fire broke out overnight near the station in Blackridge.

Network Rail said teams are currently on site repairing the damage.

ScotRail said that there will be disruptions to lines from Glasgow via Airdrie and Edinburgh this morning.

Routes in Glasgow via Milngavie, Bathgate, Helensburgh, Dalmuir, Balloch, Larkhall, Airdrie and Edinburgh are all affected.

Services to Drumgelloch, Caldercruix, Blackridge and Armadale have been suspended.

Commuters face delays until 10am.

Replacement buses are currently being revised for those with pre-purchased tickets.
