AMERICAN folk singer Peggy Seeger has issued a plea for help to find a highly sentimental pendant lost at Aberdeen Airport.

The silver locket went missing as she made her way through airport security on Tuesday. The intricately designed locket contains the ashes of her mother, father and her husband Ewan McColl.

Ms Seeger had placed the silver chain and pendant in a tray to be scanned as she made her way through the airport’s security desks. She has now issued an appeal for its return, with a £100 reward to its finder.

On her Facebook page, she said: “It is of immense personal value to me but made of cheap silver and has no market value.”
