INTENDING TO make lamb bhuna I visited Waitrose, M&S and Tesco, only to find shelves of New Zealand lamb and no Scottish lamb.

Having previously contacted Waitrose about this I was told that "we only source the finest" and did not respond to my questions about supporting the Scottish economy, maintaining and creating jobs in Scotland and reducing air\transport miles.

Conversely I envisage shops in New Zealand full of Scottish lamb.

In order to help Scotland thrive I would urge its people to buy products that are grown or reared here, and not from the other side of the world.

It's cauliflower and mushroom bhuna, again. Both from Scotland.
