MY curiosity was aroused by Bob Downie’s comment on designated “shared routes” (Letters, July 25) so I had a quick look on both Sustrans and Glasgow City Council web pages.

Both sites appear to show virtually no shared routes within the city centre, exceptions being Broomielaw/Clydeside, Waterloo Street, Gordon Street, West Nile Street and some routes coming from the periphery of city but none of the pedestrian precincts. Is the information held on these sites wrong?

Perhaps someone could confirm the correct position.
