YOUR cartoonist Steven Camley cleverly lampoons the staid constituents of Giffnock moving on following the opening of Lidl (November 8). In fact, quite the reverse. Pedestrian and vehicular traffic to the new "people's pantry" was in full flow from dawn to dusk. No sign of pretentious superiority. A bargain is a bargain especially when quality and friendly service also applies.
Not just my opinion but confirmed by the footfall of laden but satisfied customers exiting the store.
The idyll of Lidl has landed.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
