I WAS interested in your columnist Catriona Stewart’s comments on the apparent “trouble at mill” atmosphere in court circles (“Stories of Meghan and Kate royal catfight are so tiresome” , The Herald, December 7).

As the late Duke of Windsor once famously said: “Something needs to be done about this”, with reference to the poverty in the Welsh coal mining villages.

Predictably, nothing was done. The then HRH moved vacuously on into the oblivion of royal exile.

Thus it will be in the case of the sparring sisters-in-law, despite or perhaps because of the fragile temperaments displayed over trifling matters.
