AS the possessor of a Y chromosome I am grateful to columnist Catriona Stewart for introducing me to “testerical” (Urban Dictionary – overly aggressive, irritable, unreasonable), which is missing from my current Oxford Dictionary of English ("Why so testerical about toxic masculinity, men?", The Herald, January 18).

I hope this goes some way to balancing the unfairness of “hysterical” (Greek, hustera – womb).
