YOUR normal restraint in reporting on matters to do with the Royal Family is admirable. It is illustrated again with the report on Dumfries House ("Prince to give 'holistic' clinic his royal seal of approval", The Herald, January 21) rather than going for more headlines on the Duke of Edinburgh's driving exploits.

Norfolk police have stated that their investigation into last week's crash is "ongoing". Can there be any doubt that any other nonagenarian in this country, involved in such a serious collision, would have their licence to drive removed? The need for that action is even more compelling in the light of the Prince being on the road again 48 hours later without wearing a seatbelt. Such behaviour, after the accident, is subtracting from whatever goodwill toward the Royal Family was generated in recent times with weddings and having babies.
