YOU stated that a D&C means "dissection and curettage" ("Women traumatised by foetus surgery delay", The Herald October 4), and you repeat this today ("Robison brands five-week wait for miscarriage surgery ‘unacceptable’", The Herald, October 5). Actually, it means "dilation and curettage", popularly known as a "womb scrape".
