THERE has been much talk in recent days about the Scottish Government’s Baby Box and what is in it. What I can’t understand is why the Government didn’t take the opportunity to introduce a set of “reusable” nappies.

Many young parents would like to try them but feel that they’re too expensive to buy in quantity at the same time.

If one set providing a range of sizes could be put in the box, it could have the dual effect of saving the parents significant amounts of money on disposable nappies, and save the country from the massive amounts of disposable nappies going into landfill sites. A “no-brainer”, I would have thought.
