GORDON Casely (Letters, January 8) draws attention to the royal cipher of King Edward VIII. It reminded me of the bad luck of the publishers of The Big Christmas Wonder Book printed between King Edward’s accession and his abdication. This book has eight pages of coloured plates relating to King Edward’s expected coronation, including a picture of the Archbishop of Canterbury placing the crown on the King’s head. Too bad.
