FOR how many more decades are the TUC and particularly the STUC prepared to contribute millions of the Labour Party whilst some of their own members face dire financial straits because of failing businesses? The latest, BiFab in Fife and the Hebrides face an uncertain future. Yet all I hear and see is union people pointing fingers in every direction but their own, demanding instant remedial action.

It’s time their own finger was pulled out and financial assistance given without hesitation to hard-pressed members and their families. After all, these members are the union, and not all of them support the Labour Party.

The members own that money. The people who look after it are merely custodians.
