CRAIG GORDON: Made early save from Edinson Cavani shot and then his next three major actions were to pick the back out of his net. 5

TONY RALSTON: Not a night the 18 year-old will forget in a hurry, coming up in direct opposition to Neymar. Lost him at the first two goals but stuck to his task. 5

MIKAEL LUSTIG: Drafted in again to central defence to cover for injuries and must have been wishing Dedryck Boyata or Erik Sviatchenko had been fit instead. Unfortunate own goal for PSG’s fourth. 4

JOZO SIMUNOVIC: The defender had Cavani for company for most of the night. Booked after conceding a penalty for a foul that the Uruguayan then stroked home for PSG’s third. 5

KIERAN TIERNEY: Tried his best to keep an eye on Mbappe on the left side of the Celtic defence, a task akin to pinning custard to a wall. 5

SCOTT BROWN: Provided some moments of composure in the midst of the maelstrom and tried to keep the ball moving whenever Celtic were in possession. 6

OLIVIER NTCHAM: Boyhood PSG fan had Celtic’s first chance, a shot dragged well wide of goal. Tried gamely thereafter. 5

PATRICK ROBERTS: Tried to drive the team forward but ended up having to do a lot of defensive work instead. Wriggled into decent positions once or twice but final ball often wanting. 6

STUART ARMSTRONG: Another who tried to link the play to get Celtic up the park but too often PSG would close in and deny him space. Replaced at half-time. 4

SCOTT SINCLAIR: Squeezed through late in the first half for a shot that Alphonse Areola pushed over while another couple of runs in second half almost yielded something. 6

LEIGH GRIFFITHS: Recovered from injury to take his place up front and only a terrific save from Areola denied him a first-half equaliser from a free kick. 6

Subs:

TOM ROGIC (for Armstrong 46): Sent on to try add greater creativity. 4

ODSONNE EDOUARD (for Griffiths 68): On to face his parent club. 3

JAMES FORREST (for Roberts 77): Late run-out for the winger. N/a
