RYAN JACK insists Rangers can show NO FEAR as they head into a make of break five days for the club.

His team face Partick Thistle tonight in a must-win Betfred Cup quarter final and then on Saturday comes the first Old Firm game of the season.

If Rangers are knocked out of the League Cup and lose to Celtic, it would put huge pressure on manager Pedro Caixinha who would find himself seven points behind his Glasgow rivals and out of one of the two competition the Ibrox club could realistically win.

And midfielder Jack didn't attempt to hide just how vital this week was if Rangers are to improve on last season.

“Up until now it is the biggest week of our season," said Jack..

“But, if we get through this, who knows. We might have cup finals and bigger games to look forward to.

“It is an important week and it is vital we meet it head on and without fear.

"You are either in the cup or you are out and watching everyone else competing in the semi-finals. It is a great game for us to go and get ourselves back to Hampden.

"I came here to be in a successful team and go on to play a part in winning trophies and competing at the top end of the table.

“As a team we realise how important it is to win a cup."

Jack will be fit despite being the victim of a shocking tackle by Thistle's Ryan Edwards last Friday night.

He said: "I have recovered fine. I have iced it up and got plenty of rest. I trained [on Monday] so there are no issues there.

"I think every tackle you could say is potentially dangerous. I spoke to Ryan Edwards after the game and he said there was no intent or malice to try and hurt me.

"He shook my hand and I said that is fair enough. I appreciated that.

"He caught me so high up my leg, so there is every chance it could have been a bad one."
