RANGERS have been handed a double test against Aberdeen after their Ibrox clash with the Dons was rescheduled.

Pedro Caixinha’s side were due to host their Premiership rivals on Saturday, October 21 but that fixture has been postponed after the Light Blues progressed to the semi-finals of the Betfred Cup.

Rangers will instead make the trip to Hampden that weekend as they face Motherwell for a place in the final against either Celtic or Hibernian.

And the SPFL have now confirmed that Derek McInnes’ side will head to Glasgow on Wednesday, November 29 for the first league meeting between the teams this term.

Rangers will then travel to Pittodrie on Sunday, December 3 for the second match of what could prove to be a decisive double-header.

The Gers won two and lost two against the Dons last term and Caixinha will target maximum points from the back-to-back fixtures that could prove crucial in the race for second spot in the top flight.
