Peter Horne has been called into the Scotland side to face Australia on Saturday after Alex Dunbar was ruled out.

Centre Dunbar suffered concussion in defeat to New Zealand last week and has since failed to meet the subsequent requirements needed in order to return to the side at BT Murrayfield this weekend.

Horne, who came off the bench to score in the win over Samoa two weeks ago, will line up alongside Huw Jones in the centres while Edinburgh's uncapped Phil Burleigh will take Horne's spot among the replacements.

Despite being named in the original side to face the Wallabies, Townsend admitted earlier in the week that Dunbar would have to pass tests to be cleared to play, along with Zander Fagerson, who has been passed fit to take his spot in the 23.
