RANGERS have been dealt a huge injury blow after midfielder Graham Dorrans was ruled out of action for another three months with an ankle injury.

The 30-year-old hasn’t played for the Light Blues since the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock in October in what proved to be Pedro Caixinha’s final game as boss.

Interim manager Graeme Murty has been unable to call on the services of the former Scotland star during his eight matches at the helm.

And now Dorrans faces a prolonged spell out of action after going under the knife on Wednesday.

The midfielder has scored five goals in 13 appearances for the Gers since making the move north of the border in the summer and his loss will be keenly felt over the next few weeks.

He will definitely miss the Old Firm clash at Parkhead later this month but he also faces a race against time to be fit for the third derby of the campaign at Ibrox on March 10.
