MOTHERWELL fans arrived at Fir Park in their droves on Friday morning as tickets for the Scottish Cup final went on sale. 

The Steelmen have been handed a maximum allocation of 15,000 seats for the clash with Celtic on 19 May as they bid to lift the trophy for the first time in 27 years. 

Stephen Robinson's side have already met the champions in a cup final this season, when they fell to a 2-0 defeat in the Betfred Cup showpiece last November.

And the manager was on hand to greet supporters as they filed into the club ticket office to get their hands on match briefs. 

And Chief Executive Alan Burrows apologised for the wait, admitting that he had not expected the club to reach two finals in one season as the club work on a new ticketing system.
