Celtic and PSG have agreed a fee for French striker Odsonne Edouard although there remains some work to be done before the deal is concluded.

The Parkhead club have been in negotiations with Edouard's representatives this week with the deal now close to completion.

It is understood that Celtic will break their transfer record to secure the player on a permanent deal with the figure close to the £10m mark for the 20-year-old forward.

Edouard spent last season on loan at the club, netting 11 goals in 29 appearances.

Brendan Rodgers was open about his wish to secure the player on a permanent contract and Celtic are expected to make a formal announcement imminently.

The deal is close to completion with one or two issues still to be ironed out.
