Celtic have unveiled their new away kit for this season - and it has a historic twist.
The Parkhead club will wear a bright white top with bottle green trim at selected games on the road this season with the club claiming the design is a nod to its origins.
The Celtic cross replaces with the familiar Hoops crest, mirroring the emblem sported on the first ever kit worn by the Glasgow side.
Celtic said: Showcasing the club’s Irish heritage, the Celtic Cross crest returns to the kit, an homage to the same design on the first ever Celtic jersey.
"The new away kit has been launched as part of the brand new campaign for 2018/19, ‘Only the Bold’, representing that community has always been a big part of Celtic. The Bold Bhoys have always been a family club – as one Club, we face every challenge, always boldly.
"The shirt features a subtle tonal tartan design set against White and Eden Green, as well as top shoulder bonded tape, satin stitch appliqued club crest and a button flat knit collar with contrasting tipping.
"Eden Green shorts complete the look, featuring a concealed stretch fabric insert which also runs down the side seam of the shirt. The hooped socks feature an elasticated ankle zone and 2x2 rib Achilles region with cushioned protection. An additional cushioned heel zone and vented cushioned footbed and toe section have been designed to help players play with power, comfort and extra support."
Pictures have been released of Kieran Tierney, Callum McGregor, Scott Brown, Olivier Ntcham and Mikael Lustig wearing the kit.
Tierney added: “The new kit looks fantastic. When we’re playing away from home, we want to represent our great club the best we can.
"It really captures the spirit of Celtic and I can’t wait to wear it on the pitch for the first time. I’m sure our fans will love it too.”
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
