GLENN Middleton has committed his long-term future to Rangers by putting pen-to-paper on a new Ibrox deal.

The winger has made the most of his chance to impress this term after being promoted to the first team squad by boss Steven Gerrard.

And his promise and potential have now been rewarded after he agreed terms on a contract that will keep him with the Gers until the summer of 2023.

Middleton joined Rangers in January from Norwich City and was part of the group that Gerrard took to Spain for pre-season ahead of the new campaign.

The 18-year-old scored his first goal for the Light Blues in the Premiership win over Dundee and then netted a brace against Ayr United at Ibrox.

Boss Gerrard has spoken positively about Middleton on several occasions this term and the Scotland Under-21 international has now clinched a bumper Gers deal.
