RANGERS winger Eros Grezda is a doubtful starter for Albania in their Nations League match against Scotland in Shkoder tomorrow.

Grezda, who scored two goals in a 7-1 win over Motherwell at Ibrox last Sunday, has been unable to take a full part in training with his national squad this week.

Christian Panucci’s side need to win their final Group C1 match in the Toro Borici Stadium by a large margin to stand a chance of topping the section and securing a Euro 2020 play-off spot.

“Grezda has trained separately from the squad for the last few days,” said the former Italy defender.

“I spoke to him and he still has some problems. Eros wants to play but I do not know if he will make it. I will decide on Saturday.”

Panucci added: “It is clear that we have to score against Scotland. We created so many chances against Israel (in a 2-0 defeat in Be’er Sheva last month), but our finishing was lacking.

“We have prepared some tactical moves for the Scotland game and we need to be more clinical in front of goal.

“However, I would be more worried if we weren’t creating chances. We have to win at all costs and I have told the players that.”

Panucci is suing Albania’s former president Bujar Nishani for calling him a “charlatan” – but he insists the matter hasn’t had an adverse impact on his preparations for this game.

“The president’s comments didn’t put me under pressure,” he said. “Not at all.”
