TOMMY WRIGHT hopes Jason Holt gets the all-clear for the relegation scrap with St Mirren.
The St Johnstone midfielder limped out of the weekend win over Hearts after taking an ankle knock. Wright has wrapped the influential on-loan Rangers player in cotton wool.
“Holty has been getting better with every game and is showing what a good player he is,” said the Perth manager.
“The more game time he’s getting, you’re seeing what he’s capable of.
“He is good on the ball, he drives people forward and he knows how to play his position very well.

“He also gets into the box, so with him alongside Murray Davidson, Ali McCann, David Wotherspoon or Liam Craig, we are quite strong in there.”
Wright admits he has half an eye on the winter break. And he has warned fringe players will have to move on to balance the books.
“I am just working away. I am watching players and watching games,” Wright confirmed.
“It’s a busy time making phone calls and I have put some names into the club for January.
"I might have to wheel and deal a bit because there are a few lads who haven’t played as much as they would like.
“Ross Callachan was available for loan in the summer but he didn’t go out and I think it would have been the best thing for him. “He’s not played much but he’s trained away well.
“There are others who might want to be playing more, so we will have to see.”
