It was a successful day for Scotland’s judoka at the British Judo Championships, picking up 13 medals, six of which were gold.

Amongst the winners in Sheffield were two-time Commonwealth Games champion, Sarah Adlington from Edinburgh, who won the +78kgs category as well as brothers Stuart and Andrew McWatt from Inverurie, who won gold in the -90kgs and +100kgs categories respectively.

Neil MacDonald from Cambuslang won his second national title in as many years as he added the -66kg title to the -60kg title he won in 2022.

Commonwealth Games silver medallist, Finlay Allan from Cupar, joined Macdonald on the podium, winning bronze in the -66kgs category.
