Che Adams reckons Scotland boss Steve Clarke is blessed with three good striker options for Euro 2024 - and acknowledged they are all vying to be first pick come the tournaments opening game in June.
The Southampton forward has earned 29 caps, scoring five goals since his debut three years ago. And he is expected to be joined by Queen's Park Rangers talisman Lyndon Dykes plus Heart of Midlothian captain Lawrence Shankland as Scotland's attacking picks this summer.
Clarke can only name a 23-man squad this time, a slight change to the 26-strong roster he brought to Euro 2020. He has already hinted that there won't be many surprises between the March international double header, which saw Scotland lose to both The Netherlands and Northern Ireland, and the team he picks to face hosts Germany at the Euros in 11 weeks time.

That loyalty is something Adams, 27, knows he can take advantage of but believes the competition for places will give his manager a positive headache with Shankland topping the Scottish Premiership scoring charts and Dykes displaying how he suits the Scots' style at times throughout qualifying.
He said: "I think it's a good option to have for the manager and it's definitely a headache because all three of us bring different quality and a different feel to the game.
"So, it's up to the manager you know, with the 23-man squad that he has to pick.
“Everyone is always keeping a close eye on each other from afar. Everyone just has to keep doing what they are doing at club level to warrant a place.
“It’s going to be hard to pick from that but everyone brings a different feel to it and everyone is ready for it.”
