Scotland's Six Nations hopes have taken a dent following the news that full-back Stuart Hogg will miss the rest of the tournament through injury.

Hogg landed awkwardly on his shoulder just 15 minutes into Scotland's defeat at the hands of Ireland last Saturday and has now been ruled out of the rest of the Six Nations campaign as a result.

The Scotland talisman may require an operation to fully recover from the injury, which would mean an extended spell on the sidelines for the 26-year-old.

Blair Kinghorn, who scored a hat-trick against Italy during Scotland's Six Nations opener against Italy at Murrayfield, is set to replace Hogg in the Gregor Townsend's starting lineup for the rest of the campaign.
